Synopsis
The Doctor, along with the Lady Christina de Souza and other passengers, finds himself transported to a barren desert planet on a double-decker bus. As the Doctor and Christina struggle to uncover the mysteries beneath the sand, the Swarm draws closer
The Story
After stealing gold chalice once belonging to King Athelstan from a museum. Lady Christina De Souza makes her get away. With nowhere to run she catches a bus where she meets a strange man - The Doctor. The bus makes its way through a wormhole which takes the bus and its passengers to an alien, dune like world. Doomed with no escape the passengers begin to find away home. But the only way they can get there is with a bus which has no fuel. So the Doctor teams up with Christina and they discover a crashed ship, investigating they find a way back from the dead planet but can they return to the bus before the oncoming storm gets there first.
Christina
Lady Christina de Souza was a notorious thief who stole for the thrill of it, being bored with her aristocrat upbringing. By the time she is introduced to the series, Christina has already built a considerable reputation and is relentlessly pursued by Detective Inspector Macmillan.
In Easter 2010, she stole the prized Cup of Athelstan from the International Gallery in London. However, her calling card (a mechanical golden cat waving in a mocking manner) alerted the guards to her presence. Unable to find a way to distance herself from the museum, due to the high number of police officers afoot, she was forced to use the 200 bus as an escape vehicle, bribing the driver with her diamond earrings for passage. She soon met the Doctor.
The Prophecy
At the end of the episode Carmen gives the Doctor a chilling warning.
